SCULPTURE
LEVO ERGO SUM means 'I lift, thus I am' in Latin. This ceremonial staff or trophy for a graduating student at a craft school captures his characteristics. He used to boast about his muscular strength by lifting a chair. Lifting a chair may sound easy, but lifting it by grabbing the end of its front leg only with one hand is not. You would understand how difficult it is and why this trophy looks as it does once you try the chair lift yourself.
