A chess table making project has begun. This was originally individual woodwork skill practice, but Mor Ro recruited two student artisans from the school and started a collaboration project with which he intended to demonstrate an effective educational methodology.

A graduation ceremony from the craft school's woodwork department is traditionally combined with ceremonial staffs given to the graduating student. These staffs symbolize a walking aid to their future path. Being made by 1st and 2nd year students at the department, the staffs are shaped in representation of the receiver's character. Mor Ro is designing and building one.

His lecture begins even before attendants enter the lecture room by playing back a piece of classical music that represents the era he is about to explain.

Woodwork hand tool skills are practiced with a stool making project. There may be nothing special about this practice, but people who learned woodwork with power tools experience enormous difficulties without the convenience. It is the same situation with drawing technical drawings without CAD.

Mor Ro moved his workspace to a wood workshop at a craft school in Scandinavia after discontinuing a lease contract for a workspace in Seoul. The craft school is a vocational education institute. He will add muscles to his skills and knowledge of woodwork by taking lessons from Scandinavian woodworkers while continuing his design work.

A wooden stool is being designed for a client who lives in a Han-ok, traditional Korean housing, in Seoul. Two pieces were commissioned and will be built by a small manufacturer who has better woodworking skills than Mor Ro.

A set of built-in furniture is being designed and built for a small flat in Yeonnam-dong in Seoul. The pieces are made with birch plywood sheets that are more economical and easier to handle than solid woods.

A leasing contract for a workspace in Mullae-dong in Seoul has been made. The space will be used for an office and a prototyping workshop. It will be shared by another small company that produces wooden goods. Renovating the space is beginning shortly but won't end any time soon because Mor Ro is doing the job by himself.

Mor Ro is flying to Helsinki for a public defense of his friend's doctoral dissertation at Aalto University. Fahrettin Ersin Alaca has worked on the subject of design heritage. This will be the first time for Mor Ro to attend this type of presentation.

Mor Ro is flying to Milan for a small research project on legendary chair designs: Thonet series by Michael Thonet and Superleggera by Gio Ponti. It's been many years since he visited this world's largest design event last time when he was treated as an industrial spy for his ethnicity.

A woodwork academy in Seongnam hired Mor Ro for its ten-month-long furniture-building program with twenty students. The academy originally gave him just a short part of the program titled 'Design.' Mor Ro insisted on a more cohesive education between designing and manufacturing furniture pieces, which resulted in Mor Ro teaching the major part of the program during the ten months.

A series of lectures on furniture design by Mor Ro is happening at KN House in Gangneung. It consists of six weekly lectures, each of which lasts two and a half hours. The lecture starts on the 7th of January at 14.00. This event was organized by Hwang Sang Bong Wood Studio.
